Everyone jokes about how the quarantine due to COVID-19 is making them crazy, but today, I actually saw hard evidence of this – in my backyard.
We live in an apartment complex that shares a common front lawn. Most days, it’s filled with people playing ball, riding bikes, or walking dogs. But COVID-19 has obviously stopped all of this, and most of the time, the only living things we typically see outside our bedroom window are the birds.
Yesterday morning, however, I opened the blinds of my bedroom and saw…. this.
At first, this photo may not look too strange. It’s clearly of a woman (or someone with long hair, at least), wearing a face mask of some kind.
But… what’s this?
Is that a… SAW… in her right hand?! In the middle of an apartment complex front lawn? MY apartment complex front lawn?!
Where was she going? Where did she come from? Who was she after? Who was after her? Am I a witness to a murder here?! What if she turns around? Am I next??
Clearly, I have a lot of questions here. But there’s one thing I know for sure, though – the quarantine has definitely impacted some folks more than others, and it’ll be a while before I complain (at least 24 hours, I would say) about having a hard time coping with being indoors all day long.
Because if THAT’S what outside looks like, I think I’ll take my chances indoors… at least I’m well-familiar with THAT type of crazy.
